We built this because college shouldn't break you.

CollegeBudgetHacks is a no-BS, no-fluff, no-paywall money toolkit for college students. It exists because the financial advice most students get is either (a) written by bank marketing departments, (b) aimed at people's parents, or (c) a 25-point listicle that says "make a budget!" and calls it a day.

What we actually do

We obsess over three things:

1. Free interactive tools that find you money fast. The Subscription Audit, the Textbook Finder, the Side Hustle Matcher. Ten minutes max. No account required.
2. Playbooks written by humans, for humans. Every article has to pass one test: does it put real dollars back in a student's pocket? If not, we don't publish it.
3. Brutally honest recommendations. If a student credit card is a trap, we say so. If a "side hustle" is really an MLM, we call it out. We'd rather lose an affiliate commission than waste your time.

What we won't do

• Sell you a $29/month budgeting app.
• Dump your email into a spam machine.
• Hide paywalls behind "premium content." Everything here is and will be free.
• Pretend being broke in college is a moral failure instead of a systemic one.

How we pay the bills

Honestly: some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click through to a student credit card, a textbook rental site, or a side-hustle platform and sign up, we might earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. That's how the lights stay on. In exchange, we promise we'll only ever recommend stuff we'd actually use. No pay-to-play rankings, no sponsored "best of" lists in disguise.
